Outdoor Track and Field Races at Mt. St. Mary Invitational
Newburgh, NY| The St. Joseph's College outdoor track team competed in the Mt. St. Mary Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
Jennifer Holownia led the women's side with a second-place finish in the 100-meter (13.36) and a third-place finish in the 200-meter (27.09). The senior also anchored the 4x100 relay with teammates Lemonia Stroumbus, Caroline ZacZek and Savannah McMaster and placed second with a time of 54.27.
ZacZek and McMaster also competed in the 100-meter coming in eighth and ninth place with times of 14.12 and 14.16, respectively.
In the 800-meter race, Julia Boris and Karli Murphy came in ninth and tenth place recording times of 2:45.95 and 2:47.19.
Sandra Vivar Marin placed eighth in the 1500-meter race crossing the finish line at 5:41.57.
On the men's side, Nick DeLuca recorded a fifth-place finish in the 5000-meter race while Daniel Antonawich finished fourth in the 110-hurdles (17.77).
Jeremy Anderson came in 10th in the 1500-meter race recording a time of 4:32.47.
On the field, Brandon Phan finished seventh in the high jump with a 1.68m mark and came in 11th in the long jump with a distance of 5.87m.
The Golden Eagles return to action at the College of New Jersey Invitational on Saturday, April 6.
