Outdoor Track and Field Competes at Coach O Invitational

Kings Point, NY| The St. Joseph's College track and field team raced in the Coach "O" Invitational hosted by the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy on Sunday afternoon.

Daniel Antonowich took home a second-place finish in the 110-hurdles with a time of 17.99. Brandon Phan finished eighth in the 200m dash coming in at 24.15. Jeremy Anderson and Dennis O'Rourke placed seventh in the 800m and 1500m races, respectively. Nick DeLuca took home fourth in the 3000 steeplechase with a time of 10:40.62.

On the field, Phan recorded a distance of 5.62 in the long jump placing him fourth with Joseph Spataro finishing 7th in the shot put with a distance of 8.58.

On the women's side, Meagan Haviland took home a first-place finish in the 1500m race with a time of 5:11.07 with Victoria Quinones coming in ninth at 6:55.82. Jennifer Holownia finished third in the 400m with a time of 1:02.51 and recorded a time of 27.28 in the 200-meter dash with Caroline ZacZek (29.68), Savannah McMaster (29.93), and Lemonia Stroumbos (30.41) finishing behind her. 

Julia Boris, Karli Murphy and Sarah Dern competed in the 800-meter finishing with times of 2:37.91, 2:40.50, and 3:01.14 respectively.

Sandra Vivar Marin (12:16.73) and Stephanie Surrusco (13:20.67) came in second and third in the 3000m.

The Golden Eagles return to action for the Skyline Conference Championships at Farmingdale State on Sunday, April 28.
