Women's Basketball Players of the Week
Amanda Bender – St. Joseph's-L.I.
Senior, Forward, East Northport, NY/Northport HS
Bender averaged 21.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 2.3 blocks as St. Joseph's-L.I. won two of its three contests on the week…scored 24 points on 9-of-12 shooting on Nov. 29 in the Golden Eagles' 69-57 win versus Sage…poured in 26 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in a 74-66 victory over Mitchell on Nov. 30…scored 13 points and notched three steals on Dec. 1 in a 66-43 loss to Wesleyan…named to the Wesleyan All-Tournament Team…tabbed the Skyline Player of the Week for the second consecutive week.  

Nicky Young – Farmingdale State
Junior, Guard, Queens, NY/John Adams HS
Young scored a career-high 27 points on 8-of-15 shooting on Nov. 29 as Farmingdale State earned a 66-47 win over Old Westbury in its lone contest of the week…added five steals and a pair of assists. 

Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week
Sarah Tironi – The Sage Colleges
Freshman, Forward, Cambridge, NY/Cambridge Central HS 
Tironi averaged 12.0 points and 9.3 rebounds over three games while shooting 56.5 percent (13-for-23) from the field…scored 13 points in the Gators' 68-56 win over Purchase on Dec. 1…poured in 13 points and grabbed 14 rebounds on Nov. 27 in a 65-53 loss to Elmira…registered four steals on the week.
