Women's Basketball Players of the Week
Amanda Bender – St. Joseph's-L.I.
Senior, Forward, East Northport, NY/Northport HS
Bender led St. Joseph's-L.I. to a pair of wins as she averaged 23.5 points, 10.0 rebounds and 2.5 blocks for her third consecutive Skyline Player of the Week honor…scored 29 points and added seven rebounds and four blocks on Dec. 8 in the Golden Eagles' 66-50 victory over the College of New Rochelle…scored 18 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in a 64-60 win versus St. Joseph's-Brooklyn on Dec. 5…knocked down 17-of-30 shots from the field…moved into fourth place in program annals with 1,013 points. 

DeAndra Scott – Old Westbury
Junior, Forward, St. Albans, NY/Caesar Rodney HS
Scott averaged 24.0 points and 10.5 rebounds as Old Westbury posted road victories over Cobleskill (61-52) and Saint Elizabeth (85-71)…notched her 10th career double-double performance on Dec. 9 versus Saint Elizabeth with 26 points and 15 rebounds…scored 22 points and grabbed six boards on Dec. 6 against Cobleskill…made 18-of-30 field goal attempts and added five assists on the week…named the Skyline Player of the Week for the second time this season.  

Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week
Alyssa D'Apice – NYU-Poly
Freshman, Guard, Carmel, NY/Carmel HS  
D'Apice averaged 21.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 7.0 assists and 4.5 steals as NYU-Poly registered victories over John Jay (60-53) and Yeshiva (89-50)…scored a game-high 27 points on Dec. 3 at John Jay…poured in 16 points on 7-of-13 shooting and added 10 assists and nine rebounds at Yeshiva on Dec. 5…has scored in double figures in all seven of the Jays' contests this season.
