Christina Cohen's 22 Lead SJC Past Lehman

Bronx, N.Y. - The St. Joseph's Golden Eagles (7-2) defeated the Lehman College Lightening (1-8) 65-53, as Christina Cohen (Smithtown, N.Y./Smithtown East) led the visitors with a season-high 22 points.  The junior guard was 8-for-13 from the field and 5-for-8 from three-point range. 

Cohen led four players in double-figures for the Eagles.  Laura Cohen (Smithtown, N..Y./Smithtown East) scored 18 and grabbed six rebounds.  Danielle Hamlin (Centereach, N.Y./Centereach) tallied 12 points along with seven boards and two blocked shots.  Ashley Larrea (Medford, N.Y./Patchogue-Medford) chipped in with 10 points and eight rebounds.  Colleen Fitzsimons (Commack, N,Y./Commack) led SC on the boards with a team-high 12. 

St. Joseph's led throughout the contest and took a 36-24 into the locker room at the half. 

The Golden Eagles will head to the ECAC Holiday Festival in Orlando, Florida next week to take on Castleton on Friday and either Immaculata or Ramapo in the second round the following day.
