Iavarone Appears on MBWA Honorable Mention List

New York, NY| Sophomore forward Andrea Iavarone collected her second weekly accolade on Tuesday afternoon, as she was included on the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association's Women's Divisions II-III Honorable Mention of the Week list. The Miller Place, NY native was selected to the Skyline Conference Weekly Honor Roll on Monday afternoon.
The women's basketball team leading scorer posted two double-doubles in three games averaging 18.3 points- and 11.0 rebounds-per-game last week. In a win over Skyline Conference rival Farmingdale St., Iavarone posted a game-high of 23 points and 17 rebounds. The Miller Place, NY native would post her 11th double-double of the season in a win against U.S Merchant Marine Academy on Thursday, January 14 with a 19 point/ 12 rebound performance. The forward is currently first in the conference in rebounds (12.3/game) and third in scoring (18.0/ game).
