Iavarone Earns MBWA Honorable Mention Selection

New York, NY| Sophomore forward Andrea Iavarone collected her second weekly accolade on Tuesday afternoon, as she was included on the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association's Women's Divisions II-III Honorable Mention of the Week list. The Miller Place, NY native was named Skyline Conference Player of Week on Monday afternoon. 

The forward scored 26 points on 7-11 shooting to lift the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's basketball team to a 79-31 win over Yeshiva University on Tuesday night. Iavarone also contributed on the boards with 15 rebounds, and dished out two assists in the contests. The Miller Place, NY native now has six double-doubles to her name this season, leads the conference in scoring (18.9 PPG), is second in rebounds-per-game (13.2) and third in field goal percentage (46.5%).

Iavarone and the Golden Eagles resume play on Monday, January 2 when the team travels to take on Trinity at 6:00PM. Live video and stats available here.
