New York, NY| Senior Jennifer Gubell scored a game-high 19 points in the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's basketball team's 79-78 road victory over CCNY on Wednesday evening.
Gubell's 19 points came off of 5-12 shooting from three. The guard also grabbed five rebounds.
Senior Andrea Iavarone scored 17 points and grabbed 15 rebounds to record her fourth double-double this season.
Junior N'Dea Maddox (17 points) and senior Juliana Mellor (12 points) also scored in double figures.
In the second quarter, SJC erased a two-point deficit and took a 43- 41 lead into the break. CCNY outscored the guests 18-16 in the third quarter and knotted the score up at 59, but it was SJC that outlasted its opponent and earned the 79-78 victory.
