Women's Basketball Outpaced by Worcester

New York, NY| The St. Joseph's College fell short, 91-42, against Worcester St. University in day two of the Hunter College Alumni Tip-Off Tournament on Saturday afternoon.

The Golden Eagles slide to 0-2 on the season as the Lancers improve to 3-2 overall.

Freshman Alyssa Signor led the SJC offense with 16 points on 6-for-7 shooting. Senior N'Dea Maddox finished in double figures with 12 points and a team-best four rebounds.

The Lancers were led by a 16-point performance by Kaitlyn Berkel who finished 7-for-12 from the field. Sarah Blomgren and Kate Suprenant pitched in with 11 and 10 points off the bench, respectively.

WSU dropped in 55.4% of their shots from the field (41-74) while the Golden Eagles recorded a 44.7% shooting percentage (17-38). The Lancers dominated the paint outrebounding SJC 47-13 while holding a 50-24 advantage in the key.

The Golden Eagles return to action on Tuesday, November 20 when they host CCNY at 8:00 pm.
