Women's Basketball Topped by John Jay, 83-65

New York, NY| Freshman Alyssa Signor dropped in 24 points in an 83-65 non-conference loss on the road at John Jay College on Saturday afternoon.

The defeat put the Golden Eagles at 0-5 on the season as the Bloodhounds even out at 2-2 overall.

Signor's 24 points matched a game-high and the freshman provided four steals and four boards. Seniors N'dea Maddox and Alicia Indence finished in double figures with 15 and 13 points, respectively. Junior Juliana Cintron-Leonardo rounded out the SJC top scorers with a double-double of 11 points and 11 boards.

Nyasha Howard led the Bloodhounds with a double-double of 24 points and 19 rebounds. Lily Ratizis added 15 points and All'Aha Albright provided a double-double of her own with 13 points and 11 rebounds.

John Jay knocked down 44.6% from the field while holding the Golden Eagles to just 38.5%. The home team maintained a 50-34 rebound advantage with a slight 46-42 margin in the paint.

The Golden Eagles open Skyline Conference action on the road at Sarah Lawrence College on Tuesday, November 27 at 8:00pm.
