Women's Basketball Takes Down Baruch, 68-24

Patchogue, NY| The St. Joseph's College women's basketball team earned its second consecutive win with a 68-24 victory over Baruch College at the Danzi Center on Thursday night.

The non-conference win moves the Golden Eagles to 2-5 on the season as the Bearcats drop to 1-3.

Alyssa Signor led SJC with a double-double of 16 points and 11 rebounds. The freshman also provided a game-high four assists with three steals and two blocks.

Junior Cailee Greco dropped in 14 points on 5-for-9 shooting from the floor with seven boards and three steals. Senior N'Dea Maddox finished in double digits will 11 points and nine rebounds. Senior Alicia Indence and junior Juliana Cintron-Leonardo pitched in with nine points apiece.

Melinda Spahiu led the Bearcats with nine points and six rebounds. Valsenia Michie added six points with four steals.

The Golden Eagles shot 43.1% from the field while holding Baruch to just 15.8%. The hosts outrebounded the visitors 55-26 with a 22-16 advantage in the paint.

The Golden Eagles return to Skyline action on Saturday, December 1 when they travel to face SUNY Old Westbury at 12:00 pm.
