Women's Basketball Defeated by Old Westbury

Old Westbury, NY| The St. Joseph's College women's basketball suffered an 88-47 Skyline Conference loss at the hands of SUNY Old Westbury Saturday afternoon.

The loss put the Golden Eagles at 2-6 on the season and 1-1 in Skyline action The Panthers remain unbeaten at 6-0 overall, 2-0 Skyline.

Freshman Alyssa Signor finished with a game-high 18 points with four rebounds and two steals.

Senior N'Dea Maddox pitched in nine points with junior Juliana Cintron-Leonardo rounding out the top-scorers with eight points and a team-best nine boards.

The Panthers were led by a pair of 17-point, eight rebound performances by Monique Joseph and Davida Warren. Charlotte Renker finished with a double-double of 10 points and 18 boards.

The Panthers finished at 50.7% from the field on 35-for 69 shooting while holding the Golden Eagles to just 26.9% (14-54). The hosts outrebounded SJC 58-22 with a 52-10 margin in the paint.

The Golden Eagles continue Skyline action when they travel to Yeshiva University on Tuesday, December 4. Game time is set for 7:00 pm.
