Riverdale, NY| The St. Joseph's College women's basketball team dropped a Skyline Conference contest 61-31 to the College of Mt. St. Vincent on the road Saturday afternoon.
The Golden Eagles slip to 2-10 on the season with a 1-5 Skyline mark. The Dolphins improve to 3-9 overall, 2-5 Skyline.
Senior Alicia Indence knocked down a team-best 15 points with three assists. Sophomore Lindsey McKenna grabbed team-high 10 rebounds with junior Juliana Cintron-Leonardo pulling down eight.
CMSV had three Dolphins finish in double figures with Yamilersy Reyes providing a game-high 18 points on 8-for-13 shooting from the field. Aria Rheams pitched in with 16 points and Leah Pinili rounded out the top scorers with 13 and four assists.
The hosts led wire-to-wire shooting 40% from the field while holding the Golden Eagles to just 25%. SJC held a slight 23.8% to 16.7% from beyond the arc, but the Dolphins showed superior play down low with a 40-8 margin in the paint.
St. Joseph's travels to St. Joseph's-Brooklyn on Tuesday, January 8 and take on the Bears at 5:00 pm.
