Women's Basketball Edged by Mt. St. Vincent

Patchogue, NY| The St. Joseph's College women's basketball team was handed a 63-55 Skyline Conference loss from the College of Mt. St. Vincent Saturday afternoon at the Danzi Center.

The Golden Eagles fall to 3-18 on the season with a 2-12 conference mark. The Dolphins improve to 6-13 overall, 5-9 Skyline.

SJC had four Golden Eagles finish in double figures with senior N'Dea Maddox recording a team-high 15 points. Senior Alicia Indence dropped in 12 points with six rebounds.

Junior Juliana Cintron-Leonardo finished with a double-double of 11 points and a game-best 15 rebounds. Freshman Alyssa Signor rounded out the top scorers with 10 points and three assists.

The Dolphins were led by Leah Pinili with a 19-point performance while dishing five assists.  Yamilersy Reyes had a double-double for 17 points and 12 boards with five assists.

Mt. St. Vincent shot 33.3% from the field while holding St. Joseph's to just 26.8%. The visitors were also dominant in the paint outrebounding the hosts 64-42 with a 24-16 advantage in the paint.

St. Joseph's continues Skyline play when they travel to Farmingdale St. on Wednesday, February 6. Game time is set for 5:30 pm.
