Seniors Shine in Victory Over Sarah Lawrence

Patchogue, NY| The St. Joseph's College women's basketball team wrapped up its 2018-19 season with an 80-48 Skyline Conference win over Sarah Lawrence College on Saturday afternoon at the Danzi Center.

The win puts the Golden Eagles at 4-21 for the season with a 3-15 conference mark. The Gryphons fall to 3-22, 1-17 Skyline

Senior Alicia Indence led the Golden Eagles with 22 points on 8-for20 shooting in her final game. The guard grabbed seven rebounds and dished four assists. Fellow senior N'Dea Maddox was credited with 10 assists, just two shy of SJC's single-game record.

Freshman Alyssa Signor posted a double-double of 20 points and 12 rebounds with six assists. Junior Juliana Cintron-Leonardo also recorded with a double-double with 14 points and a game-best 21 rebounds.

Freshman Claudia Pellegrino rounded out the top scorers with eight points off the bench.

Sarah Lawrence was led by Camryn Davis with a double-double of 20 points and 13 boards. Taryn Penna pitched in with 16 points off the bench.

Melanie Coleman and Emmamazy Prior finished in double figures with 13 and 10 points, respectively.

The hosts outshot the Gryphons from the field (38.4% to 28.6%), as well as outrebounding them 70-49 with a 30-22 points in the paint margin.
