Lady Eagles Defeat Western Conn. in Orlando

Orlando, Fla. – The Golden Eagles (5-2) bounced back from their loss to Oswego St. with an 18-11 win over the Western Connecticut Colonials (1-3) on Wednesday morning before heading home from their Florida trip.

Tori Gregson (East Islip, N.Y./East Islip) was the star for the Eagles with five goals on five shots and four assists. Heather Ferchland (Selden, N.Y./Centereach) tallied four goals and one assist.  Jenna Kelleher (Holbrook, N.Y./Sachem East) scored a hat-trick while Kristine Minogue (Miller Place, N.Y./Miller Place), Nicole Danisi (Sound Beach, N.Y./Rocky Point), Jessica Cordano (Oakdale, N.Y./Connetquot), Cait Halloran (Medford, N.Y./Patchogue-Medford), Ela Igdeler (Islip, N.Y./Islip), Graceann Fallon (Kings Park, N.Y./Kings Park), and Kacie Mitterando (Mastic Beach, N.Y./William Floyd) all scored in the Eagles best offensive game of the season thus far.

Caitlynn Webber dished out three assists, while Igdeler and Kelleher had two and Ferchland, Minogue, and Danielle Dittmeier (Patchogue, N.Y./Patchogue-Medford) all notched one.

The Eagles will travel to Sage this Saturday at 1 p.m. for their first Skyline Conference match of the season.
