Eagles Lax Rips Apart Panthers, 17-2

Patchogue, N.Y. – The Lady Eagles (7-3, 2-0 Skyline) flew circles around the Purchase Panthers (3-2, 0-2 Skyline) in Friday nights' 17-2 victory.

Karalyn Tetelman (Holbrook, N.Y./East Islip) opened the scoring for the Eagles with a goal four minutes into the game on an assist by Tori Gregson (East Islip, N.Y./East Islip).  Despite the barrage of shots towards the Panthers goal, it was the only goal the Eagles put in until the 18-minute mark when Caitlynn Webber fired the ball into the back of the net. Webber scored the next two goals for the Eagles to complete her hat trick with help from Danielle Dittmeier (Patchogue, N.Y./Patchogue-Medford), Jessica Cordano (Oakdale, N.Y./Connetquot) and Kristine Minogue (Miller Place, N.Y./Miller Place), who all got their first assists on the day.  Tetelman and Webber added another goal to their tally as Cordano and Graceann Fallon (Kings Park, N.Y./Kings Park) notched their first of the day leading the Golden Eagles into halftime with an 8-0 lead.

SJC wasted no time carrying their success into the second half as Heather Ferchland (Selden, N.Y./Centereach), Jenna Kelleher (Holbrook, N.Y./Sachem East) and Gregson all got onto the scoreboard for the first time on the day. Purchase finally put two on the board but the Eagles bounced right back with goals by Gregson, Kelleher, Fallon, Webber, Kacie Mitterando (Mastic Beach, N.Y./William Floyd), and Minogue as they completed their 17-2 victory.

Webber finished with five goals and two assists while Kelleher, Fallon, Tetelman, and Gregson all had two goals on the day.

The Eagles will play host Old Westbury at the SJC Outdoor Complex this Tuesday at 7 p.m. The game will serve as a home game for Old Westbury.
