Patchogue, NY| Senior Jessica Cordano became the program's career assist leader and sophomore Jenna Kelleher tallied a career-best six goals as the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's lacrosse team dismissed Manhattanville College, 18-9, in a non-conference encounter at Danzi Stadium on Wednesday evening. With the victory, the Golden Eagles move to 4-4 (1-0 Skyline) on the year while the Valiants slide to 5-4.

Kelleher scored the game's first two goals at 28:50 and 24:22 before Manhattanville's Carly Weiss got one back for the guests at 23:11. Over the next six minutes, the Golden Eagles scored six-straight goals off the sticks of Meaghan Haber, Nicole Stoppelli, Heather Ferchland, Kristin Carroll (2) and Kelleher to build a 8-1 lead, but it was the Valiants who tallied the final goal of the first half with 45 seconds remaining to ensure SJC's lead was six (8-2) at the break.

Stoppelli netted the first goal of the second half 1:22 into the period but Manhattanville recorded three of the next four goals—two of which came from Weiss—over the next nine minutes to cut the deficit to five (10-5).

Ferchland's tally from the free position at 18:29 sparked a 5-0 run over three minutes for the Golden Eagles, but a 3-0 response from the Valiants brought the deficit back to seven (15-8).

SJC would outscore Manhattanville 3-1 through the final five minutes of the game, with Tricia Barrett (2) and Stoppelli picking up the goals as the Golden Eagles clinched the victory by a 18-9 scoreline.

Cordano recorded her record-breaking 63rd career assist on Barrett's goal with 1:27 remaining in regulation. The senior's five assists on the evening were a career-best.

In addition to Kelleher's six goals, the Holbrook, NY native recorded an assist to bring her point total to seven in the game. Additionally, Stoppelli netted a career-best three goals and Barrett's four points (2 goals, 2 assists) matched a career-high.
