Ewing, NJ| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's lacrosse team saw its 2016 campaign come to an end on Sunday afternoon following a 16-1 defeat at the hands of The College of New Jersey in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. The Golden Eagles wrap their season with a 14-5 record, while TCNJ advances to the regional championship next weekend.

Junior Meaghan Haber scored SJC's only goal of the game 1:25 into the second half after TCNJ tallied 11 goals in the opening frame. Following Haber's mark, the Lions ended the game on a 5-0 run to ensure the 16-1 victory.

Freshman keeper Lindsay Ramos made her 19th start of the season for the Golden Eagles and recorded five saves in the defeat. TCNJ's Miranda Chrone recorded two saves.

Senior Heather Ferchland collected a game-best seven draw controls, and Jessica Cordano scooped up a team-best three ground balls. The duo graduates as the program's all-time leaders in goals and assists, respectively.

SJC's defeat snaps a program-best 12-game winning streak dating back to April 2. After winning their second-straight Skyline Conference championship last Saturday, the Golden Eagles advanced to the NCAA Tournament second round for the second time in as many years.
