Women's Lacrosse to Host Israel Women's National Team on April 14

Patchogue, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's lacrosse team will host the Israel Women's Lacrosse National Team at Danzi Stadium on Friday, April 14 at 1:30 PM.

The Israel lacrosse team begin its three-game stint in New York, in preparation for the 2017 FIL Rathbones Women's Lacrosse World Cup, on April 14 taking on the Golden Eagles before playing U-LAX New York on Saturday night and the Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) Women's National Team on Sunday.

The Israelis are currently ranked 8th in the World following its successful debut at the 2013 FIL World Cup in Canada.

The Golden Eagles come off the heels of a 19-3 rout over the College of Mount St. Vincent Dolphins where
Tricia Barrett matched her career-high in goals (5) and tallied two assists for a career-high seven points and Nicole Stoppelli also tallied a career-high in points (7) scoring her fifth hat trick of the year. Diana Johnston, Brooke Kreuscher, Kristin Carroll, and Ally Johnston each scored two goals apiece.

"We are very fortunate to have this opportunity to play a world-class team," said Head Coach Bob Vlahakis. "This will be a good challenge for us and it will give us a chance to showcase our talent," added Vlahakis.


The Golden Eagles return to conference play when they host Maritime College in a crucial Skyline match up on Wednesday, April 19 at 5:30 PM.  Live stats will be available
