Kreuscher Named ECAC Second-Team All-Star

Written by Joshua Soto (SJC-LI Sports Information)

Danbury, CT| Senior attack Brooke Kreuscher of the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's lacrosse team appeared on the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) South Region All-Star Second-Team when conference released its Division III All-Region teams on Tuesday afternoon.

Following her Skyline All-Conference First-Team selection and IWLCA All-Region Second-Team nod last week, Kreuscher collects her third end-of-season award and remains eligible for inclusion on the IWLCA's All-American teams set to be announced on May 19.

Only the second Golden Eagle to be named an ECAC All-Star in program history, Kreuscher's selection comes on the heels of a team-leading 78-point campaign that led the Golden Eagles to a Skyline Conference runner-up trophy. In 18 games she collected 50 goals and 28 assists and tallied the second-highest point total in a single season in program history.

The attack concludes her season fourth in the conference in assists-per-game (1.50), eighth in goals-per-game (2.78), and ninth in points-per-game (4.28).

On April 22, the Dowling College transfer tallied five goals and eclipsed the 100 career goal mark (63 from Dowling), and at season's end, the Bayport, NY native's 50 goals were the fifth most in a single season in program history.
