Women's Lacrosse Rolls to a 17-2 win over Mt. St. Mary

Newburgh, NY| The St. Joseph's College women's lacrosse team earned a 17-2 Skyline Conference victory over Mt. St. Mary College on the road Tuesday evening.

The Golden Eagles improve to 5-3 on the season and remain at an unbeaten 3-0 in Skyline play. The Knights drop to 0-10 overall, 0-3 Skyline.

After building a 14-0 lead in the first half, St. Joseph's surrendered two goals to start the second frame, but three unanswered goals closed the game securing the 17-2 win.

Nicole Stoppelli tallied a game-high six points on three goals and three assists. The senior also scooped up a game-best six ground balls while causing two turnovers.

Sophomore Tori Staker totaled five points on three goals and two assists with a game-high nine draw controls.

Junior Diana Johnston pitched in with four goals, three draw controls, and two ground balls. Junior Lauryn Gregson and sophomore Taylor Ferrito added three and two goals, respectively.

Senior goalkeeper Lindsay Ramos earned her fifth win with six saves.

The Golden Eagles continue Skyline play when they travel the College of Mt. St. Vincent on Thursday, April 11. Game time is set for 4:00 pm.
