Women's Lacrosse Cruises to 19-7 win over CMSV

Riverdale, NY| Senior goalkeeper Lindsay Ramos recorded her 500th career save in St. Joseph's College's 19-7 Skyline Conference win over the College of Mt. St. Vincent at Marillac Field on Thursday afternoon.

The Golden Eagles improve to 6-3 on the season with a 4-0 conference mark. The Dolphins slip to 4-5 overall, 1-3 Skyline.

St. Joseph's doubled up on CMSV in the first half outscoring the Dolphins 12-6. The Golden Eagles went on to limit the home team to just one goal in the second half while finding the back of the net seven times to claim the 19-7 win.

Senior Nicole Stoppelli tallied a game-best 12 points on six goals and six assists. Junior Diana Johnston led all players with seven goals and came away with a career-high 18 draw controls.

Sophomore Tori Staker pitched in with four goals and three assists with four ground balls.

CMSV was led by Emma Dell'Aquila with four goals, three ground balls, and two caused turnovers.

Ramos finished with seven saves on the day with CMSV's Allyson Weakliem recording 11.

The Golden Eagles resume Skyline play on Saturday, April 13 when they travel to Farmingdale College at 12:00 PM.
