Lady Eagles Outpace Ramapo Roadrunners, 2-0

Mahwah, N.J. — The St. Joseph's Golden Eagles flew past the Ramapo College Roadrunners in their 2-0 victory on Saturday, earning their second consecutive win on the road. Cristiana Votta (East Islip, N.Y./ East Islip) frustrated Ramapo offensive efforts with nine saves as SJC converted two of their three shots on goal into points.

Joann Murino (Bohemia, N.Y./ Connetquot) broke the ice with the first goal of the match at 26:17, giving the Eagles an advantage that they would maintain for the remainder of the game.  Jamianne Eden (Ronkonkoma, N.Y./ Connetquot) cinched the win for SJC with a goal at 69:22 off of an expert assist from Jessica Cordano (Oakdale, N.Y./ Connetquot).

The Lady Eagles will host Montclair State on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. match.  The team will travel to Newburgh, N.Y. to compete against Mt. St. Mary College in their first Skyline Conference game of the season this Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
