Union, NJ| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's soccer team suffered a 5-0 defeat at the hands of Kean University on the road on Wednesday night and fell to 5-10-1 on the season as the Cougars improved to 9-6 with the victory.

The Cougars doubled their lead in the 20th minute when a Brittany Morales free kick found its way through the SJC wall and into the back of the net. Kean's Emily Jurcsek completed the scoring in the second half when she received a pass by Bronsky as the Golden Eagles entered the break down, 3-0.

The Cougars made it a four-goal deficit less than a minute after the start of the second half when Jurcsek rebounded her own shot an blew it past SJC's goalkeeper Sam Wedderburn.

The Golden Eagles did well to thwart any other attack by the Cougars until the 81th minute when Kaitlyn Pallitto potted the match's final mark when she finished off a cross in front of goal.

SJC's Shannon Condron and Mackenzie Nyitray were both credited with SJC's only shots of the match. Keeper Juliana Cintron-Leonardo, who started the first half, turned away four shots. Wedderburn was credited with three saves in the second half.
