Riverdale, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's soccer team was shutout, 3-0, by the College of Mount St. Vincent's in a Skyline Conference showdown on the road on Saturday afternoon. With the loss, the Golden Eagles fall to 5-11-1 (4-3-1) on the year as the Dolphins improve to 10-6 (7-2).

The Golden Eagles found themselves down early in the game, when Karissa Rutigliano misplayed the ball which ended up in the back of their own net in the fourth minute. The Dolphins would double their lead when Nicole Weber threaded a through ball to Caroline Criscuola, who converted in front of goal in the 15th minute.

Outshot 7-5 in the first half, the Golden Eagles entered halftime down 2-0, but failed to bounce back in the second half. The Dolphins would tack on an insurance goal when Julia McGowan blasted a shot past the Samantha Wedderburn in the 71st minute. The Golden Eagles were held without a shot in the final 15 minutes before succumbing to the 3-0 defeat.

SJC keeper Juliana Cintron-Leonardo was credited with three saves on the afternoon, and Rebecca Voisich generated a team-best two shots.

The Golden Eagles conclude their 2016 regular season campaign when they host conference rivals Farmingdale State on Tuesday, October 26. Kick-off is set for 7:00 PM.
