Gagliardi Named USCA Player of the Week

Kansas City, MO| Senior Christina Gagliardi of the women's soccer team earned her second weekly recognition when the United Soccer Coaches Association (USCA) released its NCAA National Players of the Week honors on Tuesday afternoon.

Gagliardi led the Golden Eagles in a 2-0 week averaging 4.5 goals-per-game with 20 points on nine goals and two assists.

The forward tallied a hat trick with an assist (seven points) in a 5-1 win over SUNY Old Westbury on September 25 and then went on to record a program-best six goals with an assist (13 points) in a 7-2 win over SUNY Maritime on September 28.

As of Monday afternoon, Gagliardi leads the nation in points-per-game (4.75), goals-per-game (2.00) and total goals (16).

The Golden Eagles resume Skyline Conference action on Saturday, October 5 when they travel to face Farmingdale State at 12:00 pm.
