Eagles Swim Team Falls to Mount St. Mary

Newburgh, N.Y. – The St. Joseph's Golden Eagles (2-3, 1-1 Skyline) lost 78-55 to the Mount St. Mary Knights in a Skyline Conference swim meet on Saturday.

Melissa Nocco (Holbrook, N.Y./Sachem North) took third place for the Eagles in the 1000 Yard Freestyle. Kim Mazza (Bohemia, N.Y./Connetquot) placed third in the 200 Yard Freestyle and the 200 Yard IM, while her teammate Gabrielle Zollo (West Islip, N.Y./West Islip) finished second in the 200 Yard IM.

Nocco came in first in the 100 Yard Freestyle and Gabriella Cannon (Bayshore, N.Y./St. Anthony's) finished first in a 200 Yard Backstroke. Janece Guerra (Ronkonkoma, N.Y./St. Anthony's) beat out her competition for first place in the 200 Yard Breaststroke. The Eagles took first place in the final event, the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay.

St. Joseph's will take on New Rochelle at home on January 20^th.
