Mazza Selected as Skyline Swimmer of the Week

New York, NY| The Skyline Conference released its weekly awards Monday afternoon, and amongst the winners was senior Kim Mazza of the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's wimming team who was named Skyline Swimmer of the Week.

The Bohemia, NY native earned first-place finishes in all three of her events in the Golden Eagles' 116-73 loss to Hunter College at home on Friday night.  Mazza posted season-best times of 2:14.26 in the 200 yard freestyle and 1:01.70 in the 100 yard freestyle. In the evening's last event, Mazza's 200 yard freestyle relay team, which included Julie Garvey, Lorraine Diehl and Gabrielle Zollo, finished first with a time of 1:56.56.

Mazza and the Golden Eagles return to action on Friday, November 20 when they host SUNY Maritime and Sarah Lawrence inside the Danzi Center. The meet begins at 7:00 PM.
