Patchogue, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's swimming team earned a dominant 109-64 victory over non-conference rival John Jay College inside the Danzi Center on Friday afternoon.

With the win the Golden Eagles improve to 6-6 on the year as The Bloodhounds slip to 1-6.

After the 200 yard medley relay team of Aileen Baker, Kim Mazza, Gabrielle Zollo and Samantha Mullman took first place (2:09.56) in the meet's first event, Lorraine Diehl finished on top in the 1,000 yard freestyle with a 13:19.85 finish.

Mullman (2:11.34) and Zollo (27.75) grabbed first in the 200 yard freestyle and 50 yard freestyle, respectively, in the next two events, and the duo would later scoop up their second first-place finishes of the afternoon in the 100 yard freestyle (57.92) and the 100 yard fly (1:08.55).

Diehl's 1:16.91 time in the 100 yard backstroke and Baker's 6:08.40 finish in the 500 yard free would later yield SJC's final first-place finishes of the meet.

The Golden Eagles return to action on Saturday, January 14 when they host Cedar Crest College on Senior Day at 1:00 PM. Join us as we celebrate the careers of seniors Corinne Araneo and Gabrielle Zollo.
