Women's Swimming Topped by Hunter on Saturday

Patchogue, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's swimming team was defeated, 114-57, in a non-conference meet inside the Danzi Center Pool on Saturday afternoon.

SJC opened up the afternoon with a victory via the 200-yard medley relay when the squad of Aileen Baker, Meghan Skakandi, Julianna Kohlus and Emma Martin posted a time of 2:11.94.

Skakandi would go on to post a 400-yard IM time of 5:22.00, which set a new program record. The freshman also finished second in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:46.48).

Kohlus took first place in the 200-yard butterfly (2:31.44) and Jordyn Cummings took third in the 200-yard breastroke (3:01.21).

Bella Peralta, Jeanna Prentice, Breanna Daly and Baker took first place in the 200-yard free relay with a time of 2:05.84 in the meet's final event.

The Golden Eagles return to action on Friday, December 6 when they participate in the three-day ECAC Championships at Nassau County Aquatic Center.
