Women's Swimming Splits at Cedar Crest

Allentown, PA| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's swimming team split a non-conference dual-meet, topping Cedar Crest College, 153-85, and falling to Kutztown University, 136-94, in Allentown, PA on Saturday afternoon. 

SJC opened the meet with a second-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 2:09.62. Marisa Tutone, Jordyn Cummings, Isabella Peralta and Meghan Skakandi featured for the Golden Eagles.

Skakandi posted SJC's only individual first-place finishes on the afternoon: first in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:14.49 and later in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:42.33).

Julianna Kohlus finished second in the 1,650-yard freestyle (21:07.44) and the 200-yard butterfly (2:40.16). Samantha Mullman also took second in the 200-yard freestyle (2:12.71) and then finished third in the 100-yard freestyle (59.53).

The Golden Eagles return to action on Monday, January 13 when they host Baruch College for a non-conference meet at 1:00 pm.
