Women's Volleyball Player of the Week
Sarah Palladino – Farmingdale State
Junior, Outside Hitter, Lindenhurst, NY/Copiague HS

Palladino averaged 4.50 kills and 1.58 digs over 12 sets as Farmingdale State extended its winning streak to eight with victories over York (NY) (3-0), Mount Saint Mary (3-2) and Mount Saint Vincent (3-1)…registered 12 kills on Oct. 10 versus York (NY)…compiled 23 kills with a .419 attacking percentage against MSMC on Oct. 12…recorded 19 kills versus CMSV on Oct. 12…also averaged 0.50 blocks on the week.

Women's Volleyball Rookie of the Week
Olivia Schoeller - Purchase
Freshman, Setter, Ronkonkoma, NY/Connetquot HS

Schoeller averaged 7.55 assists and 3.36 digs over 11 sets in a 2-1 week for the Panthers…compiled 40 assists and 24 digs on Oct. 12 in a 3-2 win over NYU-Poly…recorded 30 assists and 11 digs as Purchase earned a 3-0 victory against Old Westbury on Oct. 12.

Women's Tennis Players of the Week
Kirsten Ackerman – The Sage Colleges
Junior, Rensselaer, NY/Guilderland HS

Ackerman registered wins at No. 1 singles and first doubles as Sage secured its first berth in the Skyline Championship since 2009 as a result of its 8-1 victory over Yeshiva on Oct. 13…won 6-1, 6-1 in singles competition and 8-1 in doubles action…named the Skyline Player of the Week for the fifth time in 2013. 

Katie Soeder – St. Joseph's-L.I.
Senior, Patchogue, NY/Patchogue-Medford HS

Soeder earned a 6-3, 6-0 win at the No. 2 singles flight and an 8-1 decision at the top doubles position on Oct. 12 in the Golden Eagles' 5-4 loss to Purchase…improved to 8-0 in singles play on the year…tabbed the Skyline Player of the Week for the second time this season.

Women's Tennis Rookie of the Week
Emma Yavel - Purchase
Freshman, Brooklyn, NY/Edward. R. Murrow HS

Pavel went 2-0 in singles action and won both of her matches at No. 3 doubles as Purchase notched victories over St. Joseph's-L.I. (5-4) on Oct. 13 and Pratt (5-4) on Oct. 9…earned a 6-2, 6-1 win at the No. 4 singles flight against the Golden Eagles…posted a 6-4, 6-4 victory against Pratt.

Women's Soccer Player of the Week
Jacquelyn Mancini – Mount Saint Mary
Senior, Goalie, Valley Stream, NY/Valley Stream Central HS

Mancini did not allow a goal in 199:29 minutes of action as Mount Saint Mary extended its winning streak to five matches with victories over King's (PA) (2-0), Old Westbury (1-0) and Mount Saint Vincent (7-0)…recorded five saves at Old Westbury on Oct. 11 and three saves versus King's (PA) on Oct. 9…has five shutouts on the year and has not surrendered a goal in conference play.

Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week
Ashley Appel – Farmingdale State
Freshman, Midfielder, Bellmore, NY/Mepham HS

Appel's goal with 3:49 remaining on Oct. 11 proved to be the difference as Farmingdale State edged St. Joseph's-L.I., 1-0…marked her second game-winning tally of the season.

Men's Soccer Players of the Week
Diego Sarmiento – Farmingdale State
Sophomore, Midfielder, Lindenhurst, NY/Lindenhurst HS

Sarmiento netted four goals on five shots as Farmingdale State posted league victories over Maritime (5-0) and NYU-Poly (6-1)…his game-winning goal on Oct. 12 versus NYU-Poly marked his first of the season…ranks second on the team with four goals.

Gustavo Trinidad – The Sage Colleges
Junior, Midfielder, Mamaroneck, NY/Mamaroneck HS

Trinidad amassed eight points on three goals and two assists and registered eight shots over two matches…assisted on the Gators' lone goal on Oct. 9 in a 1-1 draw versus Mount Saint Mary…scored three goals – including the game-winner – and added an assist on Oct. 12 as Sage earned a 6-0 victory over Maritime…has compiled a team-high 23 points this season. 

Men's Soccer Rookie of the Week
Adan Cruz-Velasquez – Old Westbury
Freshman, Forward, Huntington, NY/John Glenn HS

Cruz-Velasquez earns his third Skyline Rookie of the Week citation as he scored a goal in each of the Panthers' conference wins over Mount Saint Vincent (3-2) and NYU-Poly (3-0)…collected 18 shots in a 2-0-1 week for OW…leads the Panthers with eight goals on the season.  

Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week
Cameron Coneys - Maritime
Sophomore, Centerport, NY/Harborfields HS

Competing at the College of Staten Island Invitational on Oct. 12, Coneys finished second overall with a time of 16:40.68 on the 5K course…field consisted of 95 runners…Maritime placed fourth out of 12 teams. 

Men's Cross Country Rookies of the Week
Patrick Goldberg – Mount Saint Vincent
Freshman, Rockaway Beach, NY/Archbishop Molloy HS

Goldberg finished fourth overall at the CCNY Invitational on Oct. 13 with a time of 29:10 on the 8K course…race consisted of 107 competitors…tabbed the Skyline Rookie of the Week for the second time…CMSV placed eighth in the 13-team field.

Kevin Sun - Maritime
Freshman, Syosset, NY/Syosset HS

Sun placed eighth overall at the College of Staten Island Invitational on Oct. 12 with a time of 17:54.20 on the 5K course…field consisted of 95 runners…Maritime finished fourth in the 12-team field.

Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week
Katherine Henri - Purchase
Sophomore, Staten Island, NY/Notre Dame Academy

Henri placed fourth overall out of 371 runners on Oct. 12 at the James Earley Invitational at Westfield State….posted a time of 18:55 on the 5K course…field consisted of Division II and Division III programs…garners her second Skyline Runner of the Week citation of the season.

Women's Cross Country Rookie of the Week
Daisy Pogyo – Mount Saint Vincent
Freshman, Elmsford, NY/Alexander Hamilton HS

Pogyo was the Dolphins top finisher at the CCNY Invitational with a time of 27:52.40 on the 6K course…field consisted of 85 runners…earns her second Skyline Rookie of the Week honor…CMSV finished ninth out of 12 teams.
