Women’s Tennis’ Burnett, Charrier and Panicola Land on Skyline All-Conference Teams
New York, NY| St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's tennis team trio Nora Burnett (So.), Lindsey Charrier (So.) and Victoria Panicola (Jr.) appeared on Skyline Conference Women's Tennis All-Conference Teams, which were announced on Monday afternoon.
Panicola earned her first-career First-Team selection after posting an 8-4 overall singles record and 9-4 doubles record this season. At second singles, the Shirely, NY native posted a formidable 6-1 record and spent most of the season paired with Amanda Post at first doubles, where the duo posted a 6-4 record.
A Second-Team selection in 2015 and 2016, Panicola also paired with Burnett for three matches at first doubles and posted a 3-0 record.
Skyline Conference Player of the Week back on October 9, Burnett, who was a team-best 10-3 in singles action, garnered her first-career All-Conference selection as a Second-Team honoree. The Amityville, NY native was 4-1 at both second and third singles and 2-1 at fourth singles but was even more impressive in doubles action, posting a 10-2 overall record.
Also a Second-Team selection, Charrier was 7-3 overall in singles play this season and 8-5 in doubles. Faring best at fifth singles, where the Shirely, NY native was 4-1, Charrier spent most of the season paired with Alana Caporale at second singles and produced a 7-4 mark.
