9 Golden Eagles Land on ITA All-Academic Teams

Tempe, AZ| Six members of the Skyline Conference champion St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's tennis team and three members of the men's tennis team appeared on Intercollegiate Tennis Association's All-Academic teams last week. In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status, a player must meet have a grade point average of at least 3.50.

On the women's side, senior Victoria Panicola was joined by juniors Nora Burnett, Alana Caporale, and Amanda Post, and freshmen Taylor Hanscom and Alexandra Suslan

Junior Damian Duda and sophomores Ryan Freeley and Dylan Trude were men's team selections. 

Additionally, both the women's and men's teams were honored as All-Academic teams. The ITA All-Academic Team award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team GPA of 3.20 or higher. 

In total, 940 teams, men's and women's, were honored across all three NCAA divisions, the NAIA and NJCAA.
