Women’s Track & Field Ends Indoor Season on a High Note at ECAC’s

New York, N.Y. - The women's indoor track & field team had a great weekend at the ECAC Indoor Championships, led by senior Christine Cristobal (Dix Hills, N.Y./Half Hallow Hills West) who took ninth place out of nineteen runners in the 800m with a time of 2:18.95.

The 3200-meter relay of senior Maureen Quinn (Rocky Point, N.Y./Rocky Point), junior Caitlyn Ryan (Farmingville, N.Y./Sachem East), sophomore AnnMarie Zigrosser (Bayport, N.Y./St. John the Baptist) and freshman Brittany Guttieri (Oakdale, N.Y./Connetquot) shattered the school record by 21 seconds crossing the finish line at 9:47.66 which was good for sixteenth out of thirty-one teams.

The men's and women's outdoor track & field team will open its season at the inaugural St. Joseph's College Golden Eagle Invitational on Saturday and Sunday, March 23-24.
