Indoor Track Competes at the Wagner Invitational

Staten Island, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's and women's indoor track and field team returned to action on Friday at the Wagner Invitational hosted by Wagner College at Ocean Breeze Park Track & Field Complex.

In the first heat of the 60-meter high hurdle freshman Madelyn Kowalevich broke her sister's –Mikayla Kowalevich – school record with a 10.55 time. However, Mikayla broke the program record once more with a 10.43 time.

The 4x400-meter team of Jennifer Holownia, Madelyn Kowlevich, Amanda Sprague, and Jessica Pierno, had a strong showing at the Invitational posting a 4:30.56 time in the relay.

On the men's side, the team of Anthony Figorito, Timothy Elgort, Mike O'Shea, Dan Antonawich had their best time of the season, with a 3:37.65 time in the 4x400-meter relay.

The Golden Eagles return to the track on Saturday, January 14 at the Yale Invitational which will be at 2:00 PM.
