Indoor Track and Field Races at Yale Invitational

New Haven, CT| The St. Joseph's (L.I.) men's and women's indoor track and field teams returned to action Saturday at the Yale Invitational, hosted by Yale at the Coxe Cage.

Mikayla Kowalevich bested her previous school record at the 60-meter high hurdles with a seventh-place 10.40 finish.

Ashley Arquer competed in her first competition of the New Year in the 60-meter dash posting a 8.27 time, while Jennifer Holownia had a good showing in the 200-meter with a 28.07 time.

The distance medley relay team of Amanda Sprague, Kelly Roberts, Holownia, and Roberts, crossed the line with a 14:13.70 time earning them a fifth place finish.

For the men, Brian Frejka came close to his personal-best in the 200-meter with a 23.75 finish, as Anthony Figorito came in sixth with a 53.26 time.

Timothy Monohan, Mike O'Shea, Timothy Elgort, and Ryan Haun, all teamed up in the distance medley relay earning a fifth place finish with an 11:18.73 time.

Figorito, Frejka, O'Shea, and Daniel Antonowich, competed in the 4x400 meter relay and sprinted to a 3:33.09 fifth-place finish.

The Golden Eagles are back at it on Sunday (Feb. 5), when they run at the DeShriver Invitational in East Stroudsburg, PA. The start of the meet is to be determined.
