Indoor Track Sets New School Record at DeSchriver Invitational

East Stroudsburg, PA| On Saturday, the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's and women's track and field teams competed at East Stroudsburg University's 18th Annual DeSchriver Invitational at Koehler Fieldhouse on Sunday morning.
 

Ashley Arquer earned a seventh-place finish, breaking a ten-year record, in the 55-meter dash with 7.57 time.
 

Jennifer Holownia had a good showing in the 200-meter nearly breaking the school's record with a 27.99 mark. Both Mikayla and Madelyn Kowalevich broke the 65-meter high hurdle record with a 9.81 and 9.82 time, respectively.

 

The 4x200-meter relay team of Arquer, Holownia, Briana Shand, and Jessica Pierno earned cross the line with a 1:53.04 seventh-place finish.
 

For the men, Anthony Figorito came in sixth with a 53.57 time in the 400-meter relay.

The group of Brain Frejka, Mike O'Shea, Figorito and Daniel Antonawich were less than a second from beating the school record (1:36.25), with their sixth-place 1:36.38 finish in the 4x200-meter relay, and would later place seventh in the 1600-meter with a 3:36.69 time.


SJC returns to action on Saturday February 11,
when they host the St. Joseph's College 3rd Annual Winter Invitational at St. Anthony's HS. The event will kick-off at 9:30 AM
