Cristobal Qualifies for ECAC's as Eagles Compete at Lion’s Invitational

Ewing, N.J. - The St. Joseph's College men's and women's outdoor track & field teams competed at the Lion's Invitational hosted by TCNJ this weekend and posted many personal and team bests.

Women's Highlights
Junior Christine Cristobal (Dix Hills, N.Y./Half Hallow Hills West) clocked in school record time of 2:18.57 in the 800m qualifying for the ECAC Outdoor Championship in May. Cristobal will be the first in SJC history to represent the women's team at the ECAC Outdoor Championships.

Men's Highlights
Not even 24 hours after Penn Relays, senior Michael Hartman (Shirley, NY/William Floyd) came back to run a personal best in the 400m clocking a 52.86.

Freshman Robert Johnson (Mastic Beach, N.Y./William Floyd) and junior Jonathan Afanador (Medford, N.Y./Patchogue-Medford) went 1-3 in their section of the 800m clocking a 2:00.70 and 2:00.94 respectively. This is a career best for both Afanador and Johnson also coming less than 24 hours after the Penn Relays.

Paul Milazzo- 1500m- 4:27.04 (Top 5 All-Time List and 3rd in Heat)
Skylar Ellison- 1500m- 4:28.22- Personal Best, 800m-2:09.67 (2nd in Heat & Personal Best)

The Golden Eagles will conclude their regular season at the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Championships on Saturday, May 5 hosted by Richard Stockton College.
