Golden Eagles Continue Record Breaking Streak

Kings Point, N.Y. – The Golden Eagles continued their streak of record breakers this past Sunday at the Coach Olmeltchenko Invitational where the men's team came in 10th place and the women, second.

AnnMarie Zigrosser broke the school record in the 500m by 19 seconds on her way to a win. Ashley Arquer won the 100m, while Cassie Costarelli won the 1500m. With outstanding results across the board, the women took second overall, with 74 points – just behind Division I, St. John's University. 

On the men's side, Chris Corrao won the javelin with an outstanding score of 42.19m.  The men's team fought hard to fall in the middle of the pack.  Another notable accomplishment came from Mario Mayen, who placed second in the 400m with a score of 49.23.

The team competes again this Thursday through Saturday at the Penn Relays in Philadelphia Pennsylvania.
