Heather Ferchland Wins Second ECAC Metro Player of the Week Award

Heather Ferchland – St. Joseph's College (LI)
Sophomore, Middle Hitter, Selden, NY
Ferchland compiled 33 kills in two contests as St. Joseph's-L.I. earned its first Skyline crown since 2003 with victories over Farmingdale State (3-0) and Sage (3-2) on Nov. 9. She was named the Most Outstanding Player of the Championship for her efforts and registered 22 kills and five digs versus Sage. Ferchland amassed 11 kills with a .611 attacking percentage against Farmingdale State.
Xiao Liang – Clarkson University
Senior, Middle Hitter, Tianjin, China
Liang had 27 kills (4.5 kills per set) and only two errors in 44 swings (.568 hitting percentage) as she was named the Liberty League Championship Tournament Most Valuable Player. She also contributed two solo blocks and a block assist in the wins.
