Old Westbury, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's volleyball team extended its winning streak to seven games on Sunday after handing SUNY Old Westbury a 3-0 loss in a Skyline Conference showdown played away from home.

With the win the Golden Eagles improve to 11-13 on the season 6-3 in conference play as the Panthers slide to 3-18 (1-4 Skyline).

After dominating the first two sets, and winning them 25-6 and 25-7, SJC was met with a tougher Old Westbury side in the third set. The Panthers would control play in the early going, building a 10-8 lead, but a 17-5 run by the Golden Eagles would see them grab a 25-15 set win to complete the 3-0 sweep.

Senior Kiersten Kissinger led all players with nine kills in the match and hit for a .389 attacking percentage. Junior Claire Urizzo contributed six kills of her own and senior Courtney Bocchieri went for four in a match that saw SJC compile 33 kills to Old Westbury's five.

SJC would also hold a steep margin in service aces (26-2), eight of which came off the hand of freshman Jessica Nicholson.

Junior Jessica Monteserrato had a game-best 16 assists and senior Courtney Wickline collected a game-high eight digs.

The Golden Eagles return to action on Saturday, October 29 when they head to Sage to take on Sarah Lawrence and the Gators in a Skyline tri-match at 1:00 and 3:00 PM, respectively. Live stats for the matches—which are the final two of the regular season—will be available here.
