Women's Volleyball Sweeps Bears for First Skyline Win

Brooklyn, NY| Senior libero Danielle Senecal of the St. Joseph's College-LI women's volleyball team recorded her 1000th career dig in a 3-0 sweep of St. Joseph's College-BK.

The Golden Eagles improve to 7-6 on the season and even out at 1-1 in Skyline action. The Bears drop to 2-6 overall, 0-1 Skyline.

SJC-LI took 25-12, 25-18 and 25-20 wins in straight set to complete the sweep and pick up their first conference win of the season.

Gillian Donaghy, Amanda Goldstein, and Danielle Silkin all finished with a match-high eight kills. Setter Brionna Silva dished 20 assists and Senecal led all players with 17 digs.

Cristina Morales led the Bears with six kills while recording 10 digs. Makayla Beehler tossed 16 assists and Briana Marrazo finished with 14 digs.

The Golden Eagles return to action on Saturday, September 29 when they travel to take on Montclair State and Baruch College in a pair of non-conference contests. SJC faces Montclair at 12:00 pm followed by Baruch at 2:00 pm.
