Seniors Standout on Women's Volleyball Senior Night

Patchogue, NY| The St. Joseph's College women's volleyball team earned a 3-0 Skyline Conference sweep over SUNY Purchase on Senior Night at the Danzi Center.

The Golden Eagles improve to 11-9 on the season, 2-1 in Skyline play. The Panthers drop to 2-12 overall, 0-5 Skyline.

St. Joseph's made quick work of the Panthers with 25-10, 25-12 and 25-8 wins in straight sets.

Amanda Rose led all players with nine kills on the night while hitting at a .350 clip. The senior also recorded match-high 11 digs and six service aces, including four consecutive in set three. Sophomore Kaitlin Williams pitched in with eight kills and a .462 hitting percentage. Setters Brionna Silva and Toni Parente tossed 16 and 11 assists, respectively. Senior Kristen Bohnenblusch finished with 10 digs and four aces.

Sommer Code led the Panthers with five kills and eight digs. Leah Bickley dished four assists with Gia Gwin and Isis Gonzalez providing five digs apiece.

The Golden Eagles resume Skyline play on Thursday, October 11 when they travel to take on Farmingdale State. Game time is set for 6:00 pm.
