Women's Volleyball Ends Regular Season on the Road

Willimantic, CT| The St. Joseph's College women's volleyball team ended the regular season with a pair of non-conference losses on Saturday. The Golden Eagles fell to Plymouth State University and Eastern Connecticut St. by scores of 3-0.

PSU 3, SJC 0 (25-21, 25-22, 25-20)

Jessica Young led the Golden Eagles with eight kills on the night with fellow middle Amanda Goldstein pitching in with seven.

Setter Brionna Silva dished 13 assists with libero Danielle Senecal recording 12 digs.

Francie Shaffer led the Panthers with eight kills. Setter Alexa Price tossed 27 assists and Aliesh Flanagan finished with 12 digs.

ECS 3, SJC 0 (25-15, 25-21, 25-18)

Young and Goldstein paced the Golden Eagles again with seven and six kills, respectively.

Silva finished with 14 assists and seven digs with Kayla Martin picking up six digs.

The Warriors were led by Anna Barry with 15 kills and Abby Stern pitched in with 12 kills.

Setter Meg Verizzi came away with 19 assists with Alaetra Long scooping up 14 digs.

The Golden Eagles are set to host Farmingdale St. for the first round of the Skyline Conference Championships on Tuesday, November 5 at 7:00 pm.
