Women's Volleyball Falls to FDU-Florham in Season Opener

The St. Joseph's University, New York (L.I.) women's volleyball team opened up the 2022 season with a 3-0 loss to Fairleigh Dickinson University on Saturday afternoon.
Top Performers
- Junior Madison Gremli led the Golden Eagles with seven kills while adding five digs.
- Senior Lauren Harmer recorded six kills with three total blocks.
- Junior setter Karen Barrera Carreno tossed 12 assists with Tara Langford dishing nine.
- April Sexton collected a team-best 12 digs with Katie D'Angelo pitching in with nine.
- FDU's Charolette Fruscione led all players with 13 kills and finished with 11 digs.
How it happened
- FDU-Florham needed extra points to claim the opening set, 26-24, taking advantage of back-to-back attack errors down the stretch.
- The Golden Eagles were outmatched in set two falling 25-12.
- The Devils completed the sweep with a 25-21 win in the third set.
