The Golden Eagles led by as many as five, 8-3, early in set one, but the Panthers went on to chip away to take a 12-11 lead. Four straight points went in favor of SJLI and they maintained a lead to an eventual 25-16 win

St. Joseph's broke a 5-5 stalemate with five unanswered points and managed to keep OW at arm's length for the remainder of the set and back-to-back kills from Gremli secured the 25-19 win
