Zigrosser Named ECAC Runner of the Week for Third Time

Danbury, Conn. - The ECAC has named St. Joseph's AnnMarie Zigrosser the Division III Metro Runner of the Week for the third time this season.  Zigrosser won the Skyline Conference's individual title this past Sunday at the conference's championship meet with a time of 20:08.32.  The Bayport native led SJC to their fifth consecutive league crown at the Hudson Valley Sportsdome in Milton, N.Y.

Rookie of the Week

Ilenis Quinones – The Sage Colleges, Fr., Amsterdam, N.Y.

Quinones earned a sixth-place finish at the Skyline Cross Country Conference Championships after crossing the finish line with a time of 21:05.71. The rookie's performance helped Sage to a third-place team finish.

Division III New England

Runner of the Week

Julie Tevenan – Worcester Polytechnic Institute, So., Weymouth, Mass.

Tevenan earned a sixth-place finish out of 85 college runners at the Plansky Invitational last weekend. The junior clocked a time of 20:16 to help the Crimson and Gray to a second-place team finish.

Rookie of the Week

Mary Anderson – University of Saint Joseph, Fr., Granby, Conn.

Anderson navigated the 5K Plansky Invitational course with a time of 23:21. The rookie was the first runner for Saint Joseph to cross the finish line, good for a 43rd-place finish out of 82 runners.

Division III Upstate

Runner of the Week

Cassia Hameline – St. Lawrence University, Sr., New Hartford, N.Y.

Hameline bested a field of 113 runners at the NYSCTC Championships after turning in a time of 21:50.7. The New Hartford, N.Y. native helped the Saints to their seventh straight team championship.

Rookie of the Week

Megan Kellogg – St. Lawrence University, Fr., Queensbury, N.Y.

Kellogg crossed the NYSCTC Championships finish line with a time of 22:48.6. The rookie earned a sixth-place finish out of 113 runners to help the Saints to their seventh straight team championship.

Division III South

Runner of the Week

Bethany Lang – Neumann University, Sr., Pottstown, Pa.

Lang earned a second-place finish at the 3K Immaculata Invitational. The senior crossed the finish line in a time of 12:38, just one second behind the first-place finisher.

Rebecca Debinski – McDaniel College, Fr., Sykesville, Md.

Debinski crossed the finish line at the Mustang Twilight Tune Up with a time of 16:11.7. The rookie earned a sixth-place finish to help the Green Terror to a second-place team finish.

Runner of the Week

Brianna Ilarda – Providence College, Fr. Perth, Australia

Illarda turned in a first-place finish at the CCSU Mini Meet in New Britain, Conn. last week. The freshman finished the 3K course in a time of 9:59.14, seven seconds ahead of the second-place finisher.

Rookie of the Week

Alexandra Benoit – College of the Holy Cross, Fr., Chester, N.J.

Benoit completed the 3K CCSU Mini Meet with a time of 10:54.60. The rookie earned a 40th-place finish out of 129 runners.

Division II

Runner of the Week

Meagan Carter – Seton Hill University, Jr., Glenshaw, Pa.

Carter helped the Griffins to a third-place finish at the ECAC Division II Championships after turning in a fifth place individual finish. The Glenshaw, Pa. native crossed the 6K finish line with a time of 22:12. 

Rookie of the Week

Jeanette Cudney – Le Moyne College, Fr., Cazenovia, N.Y.

Cudney navigated the 6K course at the ECAC Division II Championships with a time of 23:47. The rookie earned a 28th-place finish out of 109 runners to help the Dolphins to an eighth place team finish.
