St. Joseph’s College to Hold Centennial Celebrations on October 3

Patchogue, NY| St. Joseph's College is celebrating its 100th anniversary throughout the 2015-16 academic year, and the festivities are set to begin with Centennial Kickoff Weekend on Saturday, October 3. Among the weekend's activities are several athletics and recreation sponsored events, including soccer and volleyball games as well as several fitness and wellness classes.

The women’s volleyball team will host three Skyline Conference matches inside Danzi Center, the first of which will feature the Golden Eagles and the College of Mount Saint Vincent at 10:00 AM. SUNY Old Westbury and The Sage Colleges will play at 12:00 PM, and St. Joseph’s will face Sage at 2:00 PM.

Women’s soccer will play host to conference rival SUNY Maritime at 12:00 PM at Danzi Stadium, and the men’s soccer team will follow at 2:00 PM, when they face SUNY Purchase in a rematch of last season’s Skyline Championship.

In addition to intercollegiate athletics events, the athletic department will sponsor a zumba class at 1:30 PM, a yoga class at 2:15 PM and an aerobics/fitness class at 3:00 PM—all of which will be held inside the Danzi Center.
